From Merchandise Warehouse to Data Warehouse: 601 W. Polk

LEFT: Dan Carey, a board member of the Chief Engineers had recently been appointed Director of Operation at 601 West Polk Street. RIGHT: Scott Tillman (left) and Kevin Francis (right) of AlteredScale, purchased the structure out of bankruptcy and immediately began construction of a new 25,000 square foot colocation space.

Unfortunately however, a downturn in the economy coupled with poor management kept the building from realizing its full potential as a data center.
