June 2017 President’s Message

Greetings Members,

June is here and summer is quickly approaching. Golf is in the air and outings are filling the calendar faster than we would like. As you dust off your clubs I ask that you call your closest board member to be sure your foursome is secure in our outing September 8th at Cog Hill. Most of the foursomes are filled up and I want to be sure you are not left out if you want to participate. If you are an advertising sponsor, please contact Alex Boerner as soon as you know your plans. Sponsor holes are filling up faster this year than ever before. Look inside this issue for further details on this item.

May was an interesting month for the organization with our annual Vendor Appreciation meeting coming off without a hitch. We are lucky to have such a strong base of contributors who see the value in our groups activities. This year’s meeting was held at Moxie BBQ on Maxwell street and was heavily attended where guests were treated to great barbecue and an opportunity to discuss individual questions with the board. We would like to thank all who attended and hope you know that we value your friendship and support very highly. We are allowed to operate as we do because of your support and we are committed to delivering a high level of exposure to our members and yourselves to foster this relationship.

Thanks to our supporters who sponsored the May BBQ at Local 399 on May 17th which featured another successful Harley raffle, live music, food and all around good times. These events are steadily seeing bigger attendance and greater value to our sponsors so thanks to both the membership and the vendors for making us a success in this regard.

As a parting thought, I want to wish each and everyone of you the best summer possible spent with your family and friends enjoying the simple things. Good food, good music and quality time are celebrations. Don’t wait until next year to plan that get together, the memories are too important to delay it.
