The Chiefs Salute Over 50 Years of Service Excellence

Walter used his welding skills and engineering know-how to develop a lift that safely and quickly hoists those drums up and eliminates the dangerous practice of trying to man-handle them up a narrow stairway.

Over time, Walter was able to demonstrate to building owners and managers that investing in additional engineers was a smart financial move. As more engineers joined the team, Walter was able to take on more projects within the facility. The high standards he imposed upon himself, he also imposed upon his team. That is reflected in the immaculate condition of every equipment space and common area within the buildings. More importantly however, the attention to detail and willingness to listen that Walter shared with every tenant of the properties, translates into a first class asset for ownership with occupancy rates envied by many in the real estate industry.

Being a part of a profession that has changed so much through the years has enriched Walter’s professional life. Thanks to the union he joined so long ago, his hard work was fairly rewarded and he can look forward to enjoying a retirement at his home on Chain O Lakes in Northern Illinois. Walter and his wife have always been a avid hunters and enjoy fishing and boating. Last year, they enjoyed the trip of a lifetime to Africa and hope to have more adventures in the years ahead.
