Octoberfest ’06 Kicks Off Another Great Year of Educational Meetings

Although the meeting place changed, the fun and laughter present at past Octoberfest
gatherings had not changed at all. Held this year at the beautiful Polonia Banquets,
the Chiefs enjoyed a kick-off meeting with their collectible mug full of beverage.
Greetings were exchanged, contacts were made, and general camaraderie was shared
by all.

The CEAC has a calendar full of educational meetings for 2007, starting off
with a special meeting in January on Homeland Security and how it affects each
chief
and their facility. Be sure to mark your calendars for January 17 and join
us at Mayfield Banquest for this informational meeting.

As in past issues, space limits how many pictures we can publish. But we
try to squeeze in as many as possible. Check out the pictures on this page
and on
the CEAC website at www.chiefengineer.org. See you in December for our
annual Charity Meeting co-sponsored by Kroeschell. Bring an unwrapped toy for
the
Boys and Girls Club of Chicago.

CEAC Golf Outing A Success- Despite Mother Nature

Mother Nature seemed to have a frown on her face on the day of the CEAC Annual
Golf Outing, but not for long. She brightened up when she saw all the Chiefs
gathering for the annual golf outing held at St. Andrews Country Club.

Everyone had a good time and even a few perfected the golf game. Although
I am told there was more goofing around than golfing. At the end of the day
a delightful
dinner was had by all and more than a few left the green with a wonderful
door prize.

The Chief’s Annual Golf outing has been a huge success since its inception.
A big round of applause to Angelo and his committee for making this event
so memorable.
A big thanks to all those who sponsored holes. We hope you enjoyed it as
much as the golfers. And a big hand to those foursomes who didn’t win but
at least
finished the course. Thank you all for your support.

We’ve already set the date for next year. Since this outing is the most
popular, it fills the fastest. So contact the office and sign up for
next year. Make
sure to get your spot reserved!
