New Wire Tension Meter

The WTM 502 tension meter quickly measures tnesion in cable guardrails, guy lines
and overhead wires. It installs, measures and removes in seconds. The digital
load cell is highly accurate and requires no lookup or correction tables. The
operator can quickly select from 15 different wire sizes and types stored in
memory. The quick tension mode graphically displays the current and target tension
for extremely quick setting of line tension. Typical applications include tower
and stack guy wires, pre-tensioned cable barriers, bridges, elevators, winch
rope, pre-stressed concrete, fall arrest systems, aircraft cables and utilities.

Next Generation Software For Data Loggers

Onset Computer Corporation, the leader in reliable, battery-powered data loggers
and weather stations, introduced HOBOware 2.1 for Windows, the company’s
next-generation software package for HOBO data loggers.

The new software combines fast, easy logger launch and readout functions
with powerful data plotting capabilities. An intuitive, graphical user interface
allows
users to select environmental parameters to display, format graphs, perform
analysis, and save projects for future use. HOBOware also makes it fast and
easy to measure
the grains of moisture per pound of air, and supports one-click export of data
to Microsoft® Excel or other ASCII-compatible programs.

HOBOware is available immediately. For more information please visit www.onsetcomp.com/hobo.

Addressable Fire alarm Control Panel Operates On Open Wire

Fire-Lite Alarms, the leading manufacturer of quality life safety systems,
introduces the MS-9600LS, a two loop advanced addressable fire alarm control
panel. Ideal
for retrofit projects, the new MS-9600LS communicates to devices over standard,
unshielded fire wire up to 10,000 feet, allowing conventional systems to be
updated to addressable systems without replacing the wire thus providing significant
savings.

Unlike previous systems that polled each detector or module, the MS-9600LS
panel
uses high speed communications called LiteSpeed™ that simultaneously
polls ten devices. This new technology provides a fast cycle time from inception
of
alarm detection to point of notification and permits up to 318 devices per
loop to be polled in less than 10 seconds. When fitted with the second loop
card the
panel accommodates a total of 636 devices, 318 detectors and 318 modules.

The panel features more room for wiring with a larger enclosure and new chassis
that can be removed quickly with just two screws. The new chassis permits
the electronics to be removed and protected during construction or buildiing
rehab.

The panel will be available January 2006. Please check www.FireLite.com for
availability.
