To all the Associate Members, Chief Engineers, Friends and Industry relationships, there is no other way for me to initiate this, my last President Message, without taking this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support, the support of the President’s chair and the support of the CEAC Organization. Without your continued belief in the organization, your continuous contributions be it in either advertising, sponsorship of a monthly meeting, or the participation in the many events we hold (Annual Golf Outing), the organization would not continue to function as we currently know it. I truly cannot thank you enough.
It has been a great pleasure and a great honor to have served both the community and the organization. The foundation of this organization is built upon hard work, trust, dignity and respect of one another. It is like no other organization I have been associated with.
Far too often we as managers or directors forget to acknowledge the efforts and the hard work of our colleagues. It would be remise of me to not acknowledge the current Board members. It is both my personal and professional opinion that I have had the distinct honor as the President to work with some of the finest Chief Engineers, Managers, and Directors in our industry. I sincerely want to thank all of the board members for supporting the President’s chair. Thank you so very much.
To Brain Hickey President and Business Manager of Local 399 and all the Business Agents at the Union, I want to extend to you all a most humble and heartfelt thank you. Your individual as well as collective support for the organization has been unparalleled.
Lastly, and certainly not the least important, I need to graciously thank my wife (Pam) for all the years of support and sacrifice she has given. Pam has provided unwavering and steadfast support for me on my journey with this organization. It has been almost 20 years of multiple monthly meetings, phone calls, emails, letters and business events. There really are no words to express my appreciation. The best I can do is to simply say Thank you and I love you.
I sincerely hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. This holiday allows us time to spend with family, friends, and it should provide you with an opportunity to reflect on how fortunate and how grateful we need to be even during the difficult times in which we are experiencing. Remember, the cup is half full not half empty.
On behalf of the Chief Engineers Association of Chicago, I would like to wish you, your families and all your loved ones a very blessed and safe Christmas Holiday. Please take a moment to reflect on how great our lives truly are.
We look forward to seeing you all at our annual CEAC Christmas Holiday Party. Details will be forthcoming.
In closing and as always, please, please keep the men and women of the armed forces in your wishes, thoughts and prayers. They are the pillars of this nation. God bless them.
Upon my exit, please “BUY AMERICAN MADE”.
