January 2017 President’s Message

Happy New Year and sincerest wishes for the best year you and yours have ever had. It is with deepest gratitude that I am able to make this wish this year and every year forward. We are all afforded a new beginning each year and more to the point each day. My New Year’s wish for all who read this is a simple one: To start each day with gratitude and finish it the same way. If you can manage this simple task you have the gift that I hope for you. It is a little thing and it is the biggest thing. A new year affords us the break in time to reset the mental clock and renew all forms of positive energy.

I would like to thank our December meeting sponsors Air Comfort, Preservation Services and LionHeart as well as Aggreko, who sponsored the bar for the evening.
It was a great night and a important night for our two charitable benefactors: Dup 15Q Alliance and Disabled Patriot Fund, both of whom have ties to our membership and who split the proceeds for the evening. We are doing our most good when we are helping others, and I am proud to say this past month we gave willingly to very worthy causes. In this same light I hope all of your holiday celebrations were a time of family togetherness and a time of reflection on how much we have to be grateful for.

I hope we see you at the January educational meeting. (Details in this issue.)

This starts my final year as president of this fine organization, and I only hope I can keep the momentum of this first year going through the end of my term. I feel like this group is the finest collection of individuals in any place anywhere and I am lucky to be of service.

So a genuine thanks to all of you, and let’s make 2017 another one for the books.
