The Chiefs Salute Over 50 Years of Service Excellence


In 1966 Walter began working as a Stationary Engineer at CNA Plaza Financial Corporation in Chicago, who's portfolio included the 310 South Michigan Building.

In 1966, he gained employment as a Stationary Engineer at CNA Plaza Financial Corporation in Chicago. CNA Plaza portfolio consisted of seven commercial buildings in the Loop and near north area. The 333 South Michigan Avenue was a 45 story structure, the 310 South Michigan Avenue building topped out at 47 stories, the 300 West Congress Building had 14 stories, 318 South Michigan Avenue had 8 stories and there was an additional two warehouses located North Elston Avenue.

Walter was one of the sixteen Stationary Engineers who worked under a single Chief taking care of those buildings and the high-pressure steam boilers and steam driven Carrier centrifugal chillers that regulated the environment inside some of them.
