Pennsylvania firm recalls chicken noodle soup due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that ConAgra Foods of Pennsylvania recalled approximately 54,673 pounds of chicken noodle soup products that were misbranded as “Healthy Choice Chicken with Rice” soup and do not declare wheat and egg on the label. The product was distributed to retailers nationwide, and in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico.

Milwaukee-based power plant to switch to natural gas.
The Wisconsin Public Service Commission approved We Energies’ application to switch its Valley Power Plant in Milwaukee from coal to natural gas January 31. The conversion will take place in two parts, one turbine at a time.

California cuts off water to agencies serving millions amid drought.
In order to increase their efforts to promote water conservation, California water officials announced January 31 that they will not send any more water from the State’s reservoir system to local agencies starting this spring. The move will affect 25 million people and the irrigation of 1 million acres of farmland.

PayPal and eBay websites defaced by Syrian Electronic Army.
Attackers claiming affiliation with the Syrian Electronic Army hacktivist group defaced several pages belonging to eBay and PayPal. Affected PayPal pages included pages from the service’s French, British, and Indian sites.
