From Merchandise Warehouse to Data Warehouse: 601 W. Polk

(Continued)

In addition to the convenient downtown location, the 601 W. Polk property came with 2.5 megawatts of unallocated power. With ample room for expansion of the 28,000 square feet of partially conditioned flooring, The facility offers capacity starved users in the Chicago area ample opportunity to grow their own data systems in a safe and convenient location.

Norland Managed Services recently became the operating partner for AlteredScale and the building. Norland will oversee the critical environmental systems and operations at the facility and work to develop custom methods and procedures to maintain and improve infrastructure equipment.

With a new team in place and bright future ahead, the facility at 601 W. Polk looks to be around for another century or so, providing new generations with modern services and assuring Chicago businesses of support for uninterrupted critical communications.
