Couple stole cruisers, led police on interstate chase.
As a Camden, New Jersey officer was attending to another person at a traffic stop, two individuals jumped into his police cruiser, hit and injured him, then sped off and led police officers on a high speed chase until they crashed in north Philadelphia. One suspect was being arrested when the driver stole a second police cruiser and struck four cars before bringing the car to a stop and being apprehended.

Deadly bacteria that resiststrongest drugs are spreading.
Federal officials warned that new antibiotic-resistant bacteria that canlead to deadly infections is on the rise at hospitals and clinics throughout the U.S. Authorities with the Centers for Disease Control are urging staff and patients to take precautions to avoid spreading the bacteria.

FBI, Illinois State Police search NIU Police headquarters.
The police headquarters at Northern Illinois University was searched by FBI, Illinois State police, and other government agencies for a criminal investigation.
Authorities are not releasing details on the probe but assure the public the station is still fully operational.

Report: VA sent data over unsecured networks.
Officials at the Veteran Affair’s Department plan on taking corrective steps to address their practice of sending sensitive data over an unsecured network. A report by the inspector general advised the agency to re-evaluate their procedures and to put the necessary controls in place.
