I would like to start off this month by discussing our plans for the organization in the coming months. The Chief Engineers Association is an extremely strong organization backed by many dedicated members. Over the past few months, the Board has met to determine ways to ensure this stability and further growth for continued strength.
The upcoming April and May educational meetings will be dedicated to a membership drive. All members are encouraged to bring potential Active and Associate members as guests so they can check out the organization and become a member themselves. Chief Engineers, Assistant Chiefs, and Shift Lead Engineers all qualify as Active members, while vendors qualify as Associate members. Each potential candidate that signs up for membership at these meetings will be entered into a raffle drawing for a $500 gift card.
I value my membership with the Chief Engineers Association greatly and I think I speak for many by saying it is a valuable experience. So please share this with your coworkers and friends and bring them out to the next meeting.
The April meeting will be on April 17th at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. We are excited to try a new southside location and expect a great turnout! The May meeting will be held on May 15th in The Warehouse at Carmichael’s Steakhouse, a high attendance is expected at this event as well. There are also sponsorships still available for both of these meetings. This is a great way for Associate members and vendors to reach the membership on a personal level. For more information on sponsoring a meeting please contact Alex at the office (708.293.1720).
Another way to keep the membership and organization strong is to utilize the Associate members when completing projects or service jobs in your buildings. By this time in the year, you should have serviced and cleaned your chemical towers and chillers so they are ready to go for the warmer weather soon to come. Also, be sure to order fresh chemicals and supplies for these as well. There are a number of Associate members that can be of service in these areas. Reference the January Quick Shopper which was sent out recently or the website (www.chiefengineer.org) which has members listed constantly. These are both helpful tools when you need a trusted company quickly. Please remember to tell the Associate members you found them through the Chief Engineers Association.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming meetings!
