Farmers markets are exempt from federal food regulations due to their averaging less than $500,000 each year for the last 3 years in food sales and selling their products from the farm within a 275 mile or less radius.

Toyota recalls 1 million of its Corollas and Lexus IS sport sedans.
Toyota announced the recall of 752,000 model year 2003 and 2004 Corolla and Matrix vehicles to fix an air bag control module, and 270,000 model year 2006-2013 Lexus IS vehicles because of an improperly tightened windshield wiper nut.

An arrest warrant was issued for a Romanian national for his alleged involvement in an ATM skimming scheme that stole at least $3.3 million.

Detroit to close 50 parks, restrict work in others.
Detroit will reduce service to 38 parks and close 50 around the city. The 50 parks will remain open to the public, but they will not be mowed or provided trash

U.S. Department of Energy officials confirmed that hackers breached 14 computer servers and 20 workstations at their Washington D.C. headquarters nearly 2 weeks ago, compromising several hundred individuals’ personal information.

Muncie levee repairs could carry $1M pricetag.
Muncie will spend $1 million dollars to fix and improve its levee. The repairs are aimed at meeting the mandated standards which required them to address aging stormwater pipes, unauthorized residential construction, and trees which weakened the levee.
